Important news about Keeble & Shuchat

It is with great disappointment that I have to announce that Keeble and Shuchat Photography will be closing its doors in October.

It has been a great run for 51 years and I have had a great time doing it. I will miss coming to the store everyday. Ever since I was a little boy growing up in Palo Alto, it was my passion to own a camera store.

Thank you for your enthusiasm for photography, it is a bond we collectively share and it inspired me to have what I feel was the best camera store around.

I am truly blessed to have such success largely due to the loyalty of our customers and my faithful employees.

With much appreciation, humbleness and adoration I say thank you from the bottom of my heart. It was a dream come true.

Mr Holmes, noted as a raconteur as well as a photographer, will speak about both his personal journey as an artist and the key elements that underpin a successful career as travel a photographer.  Whether it entails getting that key opportunity (an expedition to Mt. Everest), being photographically prepared, or simply dealing with the rigors of life on the road, he will speak candidly about both prospering as travel photographer and making the award-winning images that lead to being featured in National Geographic Traveler and New York Times.

Mr. Holmes will be available after the talk to answer your questions and autograph your books.

He has worked for National Geographic, Geo, Saveur, Wine Spectator, Life, Time and hundreds of other major magazines and international companies.  His stock catalog of over half-a-million images is represented for licensing by Getty.

His assignments have taken him from coverage of the 1975 British Everest Expedition for the London Daily Mail and Paris Match, to searching for snow leopards in the remote valleys of western Nepal for National Geographic Magazine, trekking into the rain forests of Borneo with Penan tribesmen for Islands Magazine and crossing the Great Indian Desert on camel for Departures.

Bob has illustrated over 40 books and he has regularly been one of the elite group of the world’s 100 best photojournalists invited to participate in the acclaimed “Day in the Life” series.

San Francisco Giants Stadium Day May 4, 2015

presented by:

AT&T Park

Monday, May 4 10:30 a.m. – end of game
San Diego Padres vs. San Francisco Giants

Limited space is still available for San Francisco Giants Stadium Day. Take advantage of this opportunity to tour the stadium, enjoy a presentation by Sports Photographer Armando Flores, photograph batting practice and enjoy the game. Go Giants!

Join Keeble & Shuchat and Tamron for our annual day in the AT&T Park as we tour behind the scenes of the San Francisco Giants stadium.

The day starts with a train ride from the California Street station in Palo Alto to the end of the line in San Francisco. A short walk to AT&T Park for a behind the scenes tour. On our behind-the-scenes tour we’ll get a players eye view from the dugout, the Visitors’ batting cage, even the field. A group photo will be taken of us in the dugout.

The tour also includes visiting the Written Press Box, a luxury suite, and the View and Club level areas of the ballpark. On to the Executive meeting room for lunch and a presentation on sports photography  by Tamron’s Armando Flores. We wouldn’t want to miss batting practice so down to the stadium to shoot batting practice. Finally, settle in for a night of Giants winning baseball versus the Padres. At the end of the game we will be chauffeured back to Palo Alto in a Royal Coach Tours luxury bus. A relaxing end to a great day at the ballpark.

Go Giants!
