Scott Daniels from Canon will present a seminar on Canon’s Cinema EOS cameras: “Introduction to the Canon C100.” This will be a full day program including both lecture presentation and plenty of hands on experience with the C100. Jim Rose and Calvin Anderson, Canon’s technical specialists responsible for the Cinema EOS, will also be in attendance to assist you with learning the cameras.
The program will kick off at 10:00 a.m., with coffee and refreshments in the learning center. After everyone gets a chance to meet and find a comfortable seat Scott will give two presentations: an overview of the camera and it’s capabilities, and more technically focused program breaking down the controls, menu architecture, and setups as they address different work flows in the field.
After Scott concludes his presentation we will break out the C100’s and work through handling, setup and use questions to ensure everyone is comfortable with the camera.
After lunch we will break into small teams and dive into putting the camera to work in the real world. Working in teams of two – three you will shoot evaluation footage. You will have the opportunity to shoot both interior and exterior footage. Each seminar participant will be given a memory card so that they can take away what they have shot and evaluate it within their work practice.
After everyone has had an opportunity to make images we will return to the Learning Center, review the captures, and debrief as a group. Time will be provided to address individual workflow questions so that we can learn from each other. We encourage you to bring any specific tools that are part of your work practice so that, as part of this segment, we can address using them in conjunction with the camera.
