Pre-trip Orientation – Saturday December 1, 2012 3-5pm at KSP Gallery
Central California’s Monterey coast is one of the most beautiful places to visit in California. Artists began moving to the area over a hundred years ago because it offered inspirational natural beauty while being close to a major metropolitan area.
The fresh salt air will stimulate your senses waiting for a sunset or that perfect crashing wave. Early morning mist envelops the cypress trees at Point Lobos State Reserve and the late evening sun paints the shore with a deep orange tint.
To understand what’s beneath the water, we’ll visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium and photograph the famous Jellyfish and Open Sea exhibits using high ISO light gathering and fast wide-angle lenses.
Our objective is to heighten your perception of the natural scene, stimulate your compositional eye and give you the necessary tools to anticipate quick decisions in the field in order to respond to changing conditions.
We think you will learn more at this workshop than you ever thought possible.
Pre-trip orientation meeting December 1 3:00-5:00pm at the Keeble & Shuchat Gallery. Meals, Lodging and transportation not included. For more information or to reserve space in this workshop, contact Dave Henry at firstname.lastname@example.org.
