Artist’s Statement: Tom & Marj create fine art Black & White photographs that reflect both the rural man-made and urban industrial worlds around us. Scenes from 50 or 100 years ago are often chosen for their appeal and because they are best portrayed in Black & White. This can be a western ghost town, an abandoned factory, an old steam locomotive, or a derelict automobile.
Tom’s images are taken with an infrared camera, with some presented in his newly created digital solarization process. Marj’s images are taken in color and converted to black and white in the digital darkroom.
